Requalification of Via Bovio and addition of a new building with laboratories and business incubator.

The project for the incubator “broletto dell’innovazione” and the redevelopment strategy for Via Bovio aims at establishing a new relation between the city, green areas, urban society and working or research spaces.
Three consequential parts create the logic and the content of this project.
The first one defines the public spaces and the paths that fill the entire site and orient and emphasize the buildings. In this way the contemporary architecture becomes a part of this frame network and is harmoniously integrated with the existent urban and natural landscape.
The second action concentrates all the activities into one single building with the maximum height allowed and the minimum plan size, to minimize the consumption of the soil. All the functions required are organized in three floors with underground parking.
The third strategy clears the ground floor space of the building where usually the common spaces, the reception and the vertical circulation are situated. This space becomes a semi-public square that connects the building with the new Via Bovio and the natural environment of the northern river.
The project is developed around these three steps: the building is developed through innovative topics, from the sustainable architecture and a new urban quality plan.
